ABOUT US
The Association of Petroleum Women (APW) is an autonomous, not-for-profit, organization.
Our purpose is to promote social contact and friendship among our members, to raise funds for local charities, and to provide activities, information and moral support to our members. The Association of Petroleum Wives started in 1948 now know as the Association of Petrolem Women and is celebrating over 75 years of fundraising and helping oil women and wives become active members of the community.
Membership is open to women residing in the Bakersfield, CA area that are in the petroleum industry, or whose husbands are in, or retired from the petroleum industry.
Families in the oil industry are often relocated and the ladies of APW are here to help them adjust to Bakersfield and get to know all the great things this town has to offer!
